MISION
Electronic communication has been developing rapidly in recent years, from individual communication to collective communication, in the industrial and commercial fields, in the advertising sector and in the education sector. The development and spread of electronic communication with new technologies has increased the need for qualified workforce. The Electronic Communication Technology Program aims to train intermediate manpower with high quality, talent and analytical thinking needed in electronic communication technologies in social life and business world.
VISION
To train intermediate staff between engineers and technicians who have more theoretical knowledge than technicians and more practical skills than engineers in the field of Electronic-Communication technology.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Electronic technology, which started with diode lamps in the early 20th century, advanced rapidly after the second world war. Today, electronic technology is effectively used in all areas (TV, washing machine, Refrigerator, oven, Microwave oven, iron, telephone, computer, machine tools, energy production and control systems, automobiles, food industry, agriculture and medicine etc.) in all areas.
Especially due to the development of satellite technologies, electronic communication technology has developed rapidly. Satellite television, mobile phones, cash dispenser technology, data transfer with remote control and control of systems are the most striking areas.
Depending on the development of the industry, the need for technicians with high application skills who will graduate from the Electronics and automation department will increase day by day.
Our students in our Electronic Communication Technology Program; Concepts of Digital - Analogue Communication, Operation of Telephone Switchboards, Making subscriber connections, Operation of Fax and Modem devices, Communication between computers, High Frequency theory and application, Repair of communication devices, Digital - Anolog electronic components and circuits, Basic concepts of Microelectronic Circuits, Oscillator- Amplifiers and Feedback circuit systems, have knowledge and skills on circuits and systems used in the transmission of telecommunication signals and data.
The students will earn the knowledge and skills about; Digital-Analog Communication concepts, Call Center working process, Client Connection Making, Fax and Modem Devices, Intercomputers Communication, High Frequency Theory and Applications, Repair of Communication Devices, Digital and Analog component and circuits, Microelectronic Circuit Basic Concepts, Oscillator-Amplifier and Feedback Circuit Systems, The circuit and systems that is used in telecommunication signals and data delivery.
PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
Electronic communication has been developing very rapidly in the recent years, from individual communication to mass communication, in industry and commercial, advertising and education sectors. The development and spread of electronic communication with new technologies has increased the need for quality workforce. Electronic Communication Technology Program aims to train intermediate manpower that is capable of thinking analytically, needed in electronic communication technologies in social life and business world. Çankırı Karatekin University Vocational School Electronic Communication Technology Associate Program offers education for the sector in order to train the qualified manpower required by the sector by considering the developments in the telecommunication sector.
THE PROGRAM OUTCOMES AFTER THE THEORICAL AND PRACTICAL EDUCATION;
- Knows electrical, electronic circuits basic principles
- Get to know the major specifications of radio waves and its usage in communication, modulation principles.
- Get to know telephone sets and communication systems and get knowledge and skills about telephone control and connection systems.
- Get to know modern Call Center, circuit and pack switchgear method applied on computer controlled switchgear, modern switchgear and traffic concepts.
- Gets advanced knowledge, ingenuity and repair skills on Television and Radio techniques.
- Gets knowledge and ingenuity on Fiber Optic Communication Systems, Satellite Communication Systems and GSM Communication Systems.
FACILITY
Electronic Communication Technology combined with Electronics, Communication and Computer fields. Therefore the technical equipments has major importance in its technical education.
The Electronic and Electronic Communication equipments are available in our College via MEB-YÖK-the World Bank cooperation.

PREREQUISITES FOR ADMISSION OF EDUCATION
The Vocational School graduated students programmes such as ; Biomedical Device Technology, Marine(Ship Electronics and Communication), Marine(Ship Automation), Electrical, Electrical-Electronics, Electrical-Electronics Technology, Electrical Installations and Panel Monitoring, Electromechanical Delivery, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Mechanic, Industrial Automation Technologies, Industrial Automation Technology(Electronics), Industrial Automation Technology(Mechanical/Machine), Ship Electronics and Communication, Control and Instrumentation Technology, Mechatronics, Automatic Control, Telecommunication, Medical Electronics, Plane Maintenance, Plane Maintenance Technicicans and Electronics, Plane Electronics programme can apply to transfer without testing for Mechatronics Associate Degree. The other majors that is not mentioned above and the Regular High School Graduated (or prospective) students may be placed according to their preference on the National Examination (YGS) point results if available. Those people have to earn required science (YGS-1) point from the National Examination which ÖSYM Administration arranges.
