PROGRAM PROFILE
Tourism Management Program is an Associate Degree Program consisting of 2 years of formal education. The program will take place with 4 semesters of theoretical and practical courses, and includes 4 semesters of formal education for professional development and 30 days of professional internship practice. Students who are eligible to graduate receive the Associate Degree diploma from the Hotel Restaurant and Catering Services Department Tourism Management Program and the graduate student is given the title of Tourism Staff.
Program Educational Objectives
It aims to train intermediate staff in accommodation businesses (hotels, hostels, motels, apart hotels, campings, etc.), food and beverage businesses (restaurants, cafeterias, patisseries, etc.) and transportation services (airplane, ship, train).

Entry Conditions for Vocational Training
Required conditions to choose this program:
It is necessary to be a high school graduate or its equivalent, to have received sufficient points as a result of the TYT (basic proficiency test) conducted by ÖSYM and to be registered in the relevant department of the university.
Duration and Content of Training
Tourism Management Program is an Associate Degree Program consisting of 2 years of formal education. The program will take place with 4 semesters of theoretical and practical courses, and includes 4 semesters of formal education for professional development and 30 days of professional internship practice. Students are taught the following courses;
In the 1st Semester; Front Office Operations, General Tourism, Tourism Economics, Nutrition Principles and Menu Planning, Ethics in Tourism Businesses, Commercial Mathematics, Communication, Ataturk`s Principles and History of Revolution I, Turkish Language I, English I
In the 2nd Semester; Special Interest Tourism, Cleaning Products Use and Control, Hotel Management, Kitchen Services Management, Front Office Management, Food and Beverage Services Management, Turkey Tourism Geography, Ataturk`s Principles and History of Revolution II, Turkish Language II, English II
In the 3rd Semester; Tourism Marketing, Food and Beverage Management, Front Office and Housekeeping Automation I, Congress and Fair Management, Travel Agency and Tour Operator
In the 4th Semester; Tourism and Environment, Food and Beverage Management, Rooms Department Management, Banquet and Catering Services Management, Vocational Training in Business (Internship)
Additionally, elective courses throughout four semesters; World Cuisines, Cooking Methods I, Cooking Methods II, Local Cuisines, Food and Personnel Hygiene, Research Methods and Reporting
During Training
During their education, students can also benefit from student loans provided by the Credit and Dormitories Institution and loan and scholarship opportunities provided by other public institutions and organizations. Students can participate in all kinds of activities, clubs and student societies offered by Çankırı Karatekin University in social, scientific, cultural, artistic and sports fields. In addition, the university library is open to all kinds of scientific research and can be easily accessed.

Accommodation businesses (hotels, hostels, hostels, motels, apart hotels, campings, etc.), food and beverage businesses (restaurants, cafeterias, patisseries, etc.) and travel agencies provide job opportunities as intermediate staff in transportation services (airplane, ship, train). they may have. The wages of professionals working in the private sector are determined by mutual agreement.

Students who are eligible to graduate receive the Associate Degree diploma from the Hotel Restaurant and Catering Services Department Tourism Management Program and the graduate student is given the title of Tourism Staff. They can work as intermediate staff in hotels, travel agencies and transportation (airplane, bus, train) companies.
